I was wondering if anyone else had seen this situation.
I have two Aeon 4-in-1 Sensors and every once in a while one or the other of them will get “stuck.” The Motion portion continues to work but the other sensors (Light, Humidity and Temperature) do not report any changes over a long period of time in known varying conditions. This morning I noticed the Light level on a unit in the Family Room was sitting on a low post-dawn value. I had to remove and reinsert a battery to get it working again. I’ve seen the same phenomenon on the other unit where it will occasionally just sit on the same value for hours at a time. In that case it just suddenly started working again in the afternoon without any intervention.
Just curious if anyone else had seen this?

Whats strange is that it doesn’t happen constantly.
I ran into a similar issue before, tried removing and adding the device several times and didn’t work.
A friend who also has a vera told me that when I add the device to the vera, leave them in close proximity longer after configuration.
I don’t know if this is what fixed it, or just coincidence, but it worked and haven’t had any issues since then.
I have the same issue; removing and adding the device helps for a short period, but after a while the device stops reporting Light, Humidity and Temperature, and spontaniously starts reporting again after a while.
I don’t have these devices (not yet), I did just order 4 and am waiting on them to come in.
In doing some research , I believe I read there is an updated firmware for them? I don’t know where I read that, or when the post was dated but maybe worth looking into.
When i do get mine, I guess I’ll do what frank said - keep them in a close proximity to the vera for some time, before installing in my bathrooms and garage.
Please note that if the sensor will have to travel through any other devices in it’s final location, do NOT add this by bringing it next to the vera and then moving it to it’s final location. I had horrible problems with mine and it was not until I actually included it at it’s final location that it started to work.
I also have not had the problem this thread is about. Then again though, I have 1 that won’t communicate with the Vera if it’s not talking directly to it. It has been moved to the utility rooms that holds the vera so I can monitor temperature in there (And eventually motion for turning the light off).
