I’ve have two Aeon 4-in-1, two Schlage Motion Sensors and one Everspring Motion Sensor installed. The Schlage and Everspring are about a year old and the Aeons about 6 months.
In that time I have replaced the batteries in both Aeons twice, the Everspring and both Schlages one time each. One of the Aeons is in the Family Room, a high traffic area, the other in the Master Bedroom, light traffic. I replaced the batteries in the Family Room 7 days ago and the batteries currently show only 91%, the MBR was replaced two weeks ago and are down to 85% already. In contrast one of the Schlages is in the Kitchen, also a high traffic area and is over six months into a set of batteries and it STILL shows 100% The other Schlage is in the Study, a low traffic area, and is over six months on the current batteries and still at 99%.
The Aeons are set for all sensors to report every 5 minutes and on motion with a 10 second recovery time. The Schlage of course reports on motion only and also a 10 second recovery time. In all cases the polling is set to ZERO and wake-up time to 1680 seconds.
Thus far the battery performance of the Aeons is very unsatisfactory, especially compared to the Schlages.
I too have an Aeon 4 in 1 I just bought, still experimenting with it before permanent mounting.
But I think you already answered your own question, the Aeons are doing 4 times the functionality of the simple motion or door sensors. There’s a price to pay for that in terms of size and power consumption.
So far I’m not totally thrilled with the unit, but I didn’t want to get a separate motion and humidity sensor for the bathroom. It would be nice if there was a company that sold different types of combo sensors, ie, a motion + temp, a temp + humidity, a motion + humidity, etc.
Plus the documentation on the Aeons is extremely confusing. Depending on who you ask, there’s so many different ways to setup the sensor and z-wave parameters.

Looks like it’s about 4 months, using fairly nominal setup parameters for me. Of course, it also depends on the quality of battery.
PS: thanks for the question - it reminds me that one of the units need changing![/quote]

Wow, that’s not good and doesn’t give me hope. 4 to 6 months is kind of bad considering there are other sensors out there that can survive on smaller batteries up to a year.
It would be nice to see a newer version of the 4-in-1 released that used the latest Series-500 z-wave chip-set, which gives better communication and longer battery life.
Interesting. Looks exactly like the same shell as the AEON, but instead they have vibration instead of humidity sensor. Unfortunately, for the bathroom use case I need humidity.
But thanks for the recommendation, always like to keep up with what’s out there.
