Finally got my Vera Lite today. Plugged in, internet access working, firmware updated. All good.
Trying to set it as the new primary controller so I can get rid of my Z-Wave and dongle.
I have a button on the Z-Cloud interface, ‘Change Controller’ so hit that, then the ‘+’ on the Vera. Nothing happens. Ditto if I hit the ‘-’ on the Vera.
If I try to include the Vera onto the Z-Cloud network (by pressing the ‘Include device’) and then press the ‘+’ or ‘-’ on the Vera, the Z-wave can’t see that either.
I assume there’s something else I need to do on the Vera to get it into a mode where the Z-Wave dongle can see it?
TIA for any help, I really want to avoid resetting the entire network.

I think (I have not done this but read this)
Go to Setup->Z-Wave Settings and do a “Copy Z-Wave network from a master controller”
“If you already have another Z-Wave controller that you want to be the master, and you want Vera to be the secondary controller, bring the master controller and Vera close to each other, tell the current master controller to start sending network data or to add another Z-Wave controller, and then click
Copy Z-Wave network from a master controller
. You will see the status of the transfer in blue at the top of the page, and Vera will tell you if it was successful. The “Role” shown on the ‘Options’ tab will then also change a minute or so later.”
However, I can’t get the two controllers to talk to each other at all. Can’t even get Vera to be included in the existing network using ‘Add Vera to another network’
I’ll keep poking around, but I suspect it’s going to be more effective in the long run simply to start from scratch
