Activating Vista 20p Siren through Vera using AD2USB

Hi All,

I am a newbie to home automation. After doing a lot of reading and research about home automation controllers I decided to buy Vera -3 controller. I was able to successfully configure 2 multisensory from Aeon lab, 2 Foscam cameras and AD2USB to integrate Vera with existing wired alarm system (vista 20p). Configured all the zones in Vera and everything working fine.

My question is how I access the Siren which is already part of existing wired system (Vista 20p). My intension is to activate Siren as part of some Scenes .Do I need to create a new zone for siren as well? Please help?..

Hey Binu,

Yes this can be done. Just refer to the answer for this given to you earlier at:

The answer was yes, but you have to get into the panel, make the wire connections and program your panel accordingly.

You can follow the instructions that I posted earlier for the Garage Door Opener (substituting the bell for the opener) programming at:

This will do it.

Once you do this, you can control the Function key (i.e. A, B C or D) with Vera and sound the bell accordingly.
