Richard, I know you are busy but some possible new destinations for Vera Alerts to work with

GCAL 1.4 supports adding items to Google Calendar. In Stuart’s release notes for his release 1.2 is a mechanism for doing this but it appears to involve lots and lots of LUUP coding for each action. While its a great facility only avery few people are going to be able to sort through this. How about incorporating this process in Vera Alerts to allow an Event to be posted to the Calendar as well as SMS, Email, Pushover, et al? So Vera Alerts would simply have another setting to put the item in the calendar? A Trivial Coding Change — those are the changes THE OTHER GUY has to make

ImperiHome. I have suggested to the ImperiHome guys a facility to write events to a scrolling widget in ImperiHome, a sort of running log if you will. Again, Vera Alerts could incorporate a Profile for ImperiHome to send events to the ImperiHome Vera Plug In which would be written to the ImperiHome APP on a tablet or phone.
I realize these are not trivial things and involve a lot of cooperative development but if we are to get the Vera platform to be useful to people in general we can’t expect them to keep writing specific LUUP code to just to post an event somewhere.
Anyway as you will.
Thanks
John
