Hello
Did a quick search for 433Mhz on Ebay.
The search came up with some rather cheap (compared to Z-wave) 433Mhz door sensors.
Now I wonder if anyone has used any of the cheaper door sensor with RFXCom and Vera?
Thanks

RFXCOM only supports certain devices/protocols so while i’m not sure which ones you are looking at, but to be honest the Everspring z-wave door/window sensor are quite cheap now at approx £29 (in the UK anyway)
What I understood is the cheap ones on 433 submit the signal 5 times, which makes it not suitable for triggering events.
There is a thread for this on the domoticaforum.eu with the creator of the RFXCOM, he strongly says it is not suitable for any proper use.
I have found a Z-Wave sensor for 27 EUR in NL
Hello
Thanks for the heads up on the devices sending several times. This could lead to some “interesting” situations
Here in Norway I find the door sensors quite expensive, especially when I need 15-20 pcs.

Tommy
Have a look here ihome.eu, 26 eur, no idea how many nok that makes
Great, thanks for the link.
I will check it out.
Tommy
I think that was a nice price actually.
These are Z-Wave, compatible with Vera?
Tommy
Cheap 433 MHz means 6 pieces for 18 USD, 13 EUR. Not one but 6. It would be nice to know if this is usable.
