I would like to install the Fibaro Dimmer (FGD 211)

Can you help me ? Is it the good way ?

If you want to modify the drawing, just do it : http://bit.ly/AzJQVa

I’m no leccy expert, but i think you should have switch 1 going into S1 and Sx, and switch 2 going into S2 and Sx. Not sure if that’s physically possible though, I’m facing the same question at some point this year to…

I agree with you this works ;D

But I’ve to connect S1 and S2 not to Sx but directly to L ???

You have to add to the dimmer configuration one parameter :
10 with the value 1.

When it’s physically possible this solution works fine

Another solution is described here http://www.touteladomotique.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=6175&p=57801#p57801

This is just to confirm that it really works!!

I’ve tried another forms, but in the end this was the solution:

  • L connected to all switches
  • S1 and S2 to FGD211
  • no wire on Sx
  • FGD211 configured with the value 1 on parameter 17 (not 10 like trackingnewtech sais)

the dimmer is on the last switch wall box, since FGD211 controlls the O (output), so it must be in the last position.

My solution was a 2 wire (no N) and the switches were a “3-way” type.

Any question, feel free to ask.

thanks
