After upgrading to the latest firmware for June, there are around 10 motion sensors that were created (attached image) and the parent id is my 2gig CT100 thermostat. Anyone experience the same issue?

Same here, quite annoying since I installed 5 of these thermostats.
Same for me.
I just ignore them, but they are quite annoying. I am also unable to delete them.

Are you also having the “Can’t detect device” problem or is it just me? Was working fine earlier.
The update also gave me the ability to set temperatures in incremets of .5 instead of 1, which is nice if it didn’t have all these bugs.
I do not have the “Can’t detect device” issue you are talking about.
However, I am not on the July 2015 update. These phantom motion sensors showed up after June update for me.
I’ve got about 5 phantom motion sensors, but they’re attached to a legit fibaro motion as the parent. Ultra annoying and no way to get rid of them. I posted about it in the upgrade thread and have had zero response about the issue.
I have removed all the phantom motion sensors manually and everything seems to be working fine 
How did you remove them? Deleting them doesn’t actually delete them on my end.
I just do a normal delete and it worked. If it does not work for you, you can try to delete them through the http json service call. I do not have the details but you can search in this forum.
