1.1.1245 Official Release - Issues

Started a new topic on 1.1.1245 since it is no longer a beta release. I hope that was OK.

Upgraded to 1.1.1245 on a Vera 2 and now we get: Zwave - “Failed to Start” on the main screen.

Rebooted vera - powered off - powered on – still get the same error. The Zwave indicator light on the front of the unit is On.

Is anyone else having the same issue?

Please submit a ticket with this issue.

Thanks

After repeated requests to support I still cannot get an answer whether 1245 is compatible with the Harmony 890 pro remotes.

Someone in the progressions thread indicated their remotes would no longer communicate with the dongle.

Any ideas?

I havent done this personally but the remote control server stores the useraccount info in this file:
/etc/cmh/users.conf

please see also this http://forum.mios.com/index.php?topic=6687.0

If you feel comfortable you might try to edit it by hand… but what would be the functionality for local use???

Yes. I’m having the same issue.
@micasaverde : how to issue a ticket ?

If you’re able to get to the Tech Support tab under the “Advanced” icon, then its done from there once you’ve entered your details etc.

@robnbill,
I have the same error. Sometimes it also says “No Zwave Dongle”. I’ve sent a tech request but just wanted you to know you are not alone.

How do i enjoy the benefits (some necessary like making devices work properly) contained in this new firmware update, WITHOUT UI4/connection to findvera.com?

The furthest ive seen anyone get is disabling the tunnel to findvera.com but other services and functions still maintain/use your login to findvera.

Is the current install base really OK with the idea of our boxes becoming bricks if for whatever reason they cannot call home? In addition, whats with the extremely weak passwords?? Inexcusable!

Check out this thread. The beta UI that Timalls has built works quite well as a controller. It doesn’t do everything that UI$ does-yet. But it is local control only.
